Here’s the headline in the Palm Beach Post that lays out the poll- ‘Poll: Most Americans don’t want health reform defunded’
Looks like this is a case of a poll reflecting how it’s question is worded. The question has the caveat about methodology of how to defund the process. Reword the question as to whether Americans approve of Obamacare as a job killer and see what results you get.
That and how more irresponsible could a story be than to report of a special interest group’s poll? It would be as bad as presenting as journalism a story about a poll against Obamacare by the Catholic Church, who has filed suit against the administration for, what it feels, is a Federal healthcare system that represents blasphemy.
Very important to notice that the writer is a founder of The Moscow Times and that a list of her stories shows very clearly her political leanings. Pity responsible journalism has been replaced by political activism.
Here’s the story:
While many Americans continue to view health reform as a glass half-empty, they don’t want Congress to shatter it, a poll released by the Kaiser Family Foundation today finds.
The poll of 1,503 adults found 42 percent expressing an unfavorable view of the Obama administration’s health law.’

I wanted to add more items around the hideout that would fir, but, with deadline approaching, only added the swinging tire.
My friend J.R. Griggs passed along this idea. He nailed it. I didn’t even edit his wording.

Below is the recording of me drawing the cartoon.
Get the prize and ignore what it costs to get something free. I wanted to slip in my prediction being correct that the medical stocks would all start to rise dramatically after the health care plan got passed.
Here’s the cartoon on Glenn Beck’s website.
Drawn fast. I felt in good shape this day and I think it shopws in my drawing. Below is the recording of my pencils and inks.
No health care = Massive losses in November for Democrats and Obama suddenly becomes less welcome at Democrat fund-raising opportunities. Obama can’t have that happen. Appearances are his entire stock and trade. So Pelosi will have to keep her track record in tack and get this through and save Obama from having to figure out what to do if ha can’t hit the campaign circuit.
I was having a bad day when I went at this and basically botched it. While drawing on UStream, viewer Jared Sloger flagged me on the original cartoon, thank goodness. I trashed the first and re-approached the subject very quickly and knocked out the pencil and ink of above. Thanks, Jared!
Below is the stream for the cartoon above:
Below is the first attempt. Please excuse all of my frustration.
Something like an experience I’ve had recently. This is all about protecting the insurance companies and giving doctors and the pharmaceutical companies cover to not have to lower prices. Lowering prices by the latter two would eliminate the need for insurance or lawyers that feed off of medical problems.
I was trying to illustrate my predicament in a broad way and get the idea across that the insurance companies are the muscle for the docs. Then here comes a Federal version of the same muscle making even more trouble.
Another great gag by Ken Culotta. Luckily I’ve been in an airport recently and could better draw the interior of an airport!
Prostitution is nothing new in Louisiana or Washington, D.C.
Ken Culotaa wrote this one. I was going in a different direction yesterday afternoon. My version involved a car and a street walker. I was speaking with Ken when he instantly suggested this far better version.
This is the first time I’ve used Photoshop filters to get effects and I think it worked.
