Further insanity being that instead of Conyers wasting time getting this free lunch and making a speech, he could have been sitting down with his staff and lawyers to have the bill explained to him. We should be quizzing the supporters to quote chapter and verse from the healthcare bill and challenging them with actual lines from it, embarrassing them that they do not know what they are voting for.
I’m afraid the liberals now see this as her Waterloo and now they just push her to being exiled in Alaska. I know she has the spunk to move on. But will she?
This was entirely drawn using Photoshop. There is no rough pencil. Also, Ken Culotta and I collaborated on this with Ken writing the initial idea.
I’m combining all sorts of things here. From the mess that the OMB chief wants to whitewash, to Health and Human Services Director Kathleen Sebelius’ comment that the money for healthcare is already there, only “misdirected” to overpaying for ham.
I did this one quickly. The original cartoon for Tuesday was a tribute to the moon landing with a gag by Ken Culotta. But I had a lot of trouble getting the art to work with the gag. As these stories converged, I made the decision to construct this and hoped it encompassed it all well.

After hearing Obama talk about the elderly making difficult choices and questioning whether a 105 year old should have medicine, and having a Science Czar who believe in Social Engineering, it seems we may not be far from this path.
With all those years of the press dogging Bush about an “Exit Plan,” isn’t it interesting when they all go mum as Obama hurdles us into Afghanistan.
